We can’t always protect ourselves from what life throws at us, but we can always work on ourselves so that we can face whatever life throws at us with more confidence and strength. Once we have worked to change ourselves, we can then face whatever life throws at us with the knowledge that we have done all we can to be prepared for whatever may happen next. The difference between people who get through their challenges and people who don’t is their ability to turn their setbacks into opportunities to grow and learn from their mistakes.
